About

I began my yoga journey over 10 years ago, when I was in college, and finding yoga so early has profoundly impacted my life and the directions it has taken since then! Through yoga I learned how to relax, and how to turn off after a busy stressful day and go to sleep. I learned that I had spent many years breathing back to front, and how to look after my body and my mind.

I started by attending Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow and Iyengar yoga classes, shifting to a personal practice whilst at university in Sussex, and then after graduation shifting again between different styles. Whilst I attend various styles of class, my own personal practice and teaching style is Hatha yoga – where I started and always return.

After graduating from university, I completed an anatomy and physiology course and started my training with the British Wheel of Yoga on their 500 hour training course in London. The training took place over 2 and a half unforgettable years with the brilliant and experienced teachers Mary Mackie and Leslie Isaacson, and I completed my level 4 diploma in yoga teaching with them.

I have since taken further studies with Rainbow Yoga for teaching kids and families led by the inspirational Ieva Wildlovebloomer, covering some acroyoga, Thai yoga massage, and partner yoga.

When I am not teaching yoga, I am teaching chess to juniors! I teach clubs in primary schools during the week and run tournaments at the weekends.
